Recently, Mr. Wang Xinxi, a leading technical expert in domestic electronic specialty gases and precursors and member of the Gas Subcommittee of the National Technical Committee for Standardization of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials, has formally joined TIANS Group as Chief Scientist of TIANS Electronic Materials. He will take overall charge of R&D and technical system development, key technology research, and technical governance of major projects for TIANS in the electronic materials sector, further boosting the Group's technical competitiveness in the electronic materials track.
Electronic materials is an industry characterized by high barriers, high hazards and strict purity requirements. With nearly 30 years of R&D and industrialization experience, Mr. Wang Xinxi is one of the few domestic interdisciplinary leading experts who truly covers the full chain of technology R&D, process scale-up, plant design & construction, and operation management.
Mr. Wang holds a Master's degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Dalian University of Technology, two prestigious engineering universities. Technically, he is proficient in the application of synthesis and purification technologies such as electrolysis, distillation, adsorption and catalysis for electronic specialty gases. He has profound expertise in engineering safety design for high-risk gases (toxic, corrosive, flammable and explosive), automated HAZOP (Hazard and Operability Study), and EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) management. He previously worked at well-known domestic electronic chemical research institutions and listed enterprises including CSIC No.718 Research Institute, Jinhong Gas and Nanda Optoelectronic. As a core member, he presided over or participated in multiple national major science and technology projects, breaking several bottleneck technologies of ultra-high-purity electronic gases long monopolized by overseas suppliers.

During his tenure at CSIC No.718 Research Institute, Mr. Wang served as the project lead for the National 02 Major Project. With outstanding process mastery, he successfully delivered industrialization projects for multiple electronic specialty gases including hydrogen chloride, hydrogen fluoride, hexafluoroethane, octafluorocyclobutane, octafluoropropane and silicon tetrafluoride, and led the lab-scale R&D of chlorine trifluoride. Meanwhile, he led his team to realize domestic substitution of passive hydrogen recombiner devices for nuclear power plants, which have been deployed in multiple nuclear power stations across China.
While serving as Chief Engineer at Jinhong Gas, Mr. Wang oversaw the establishment of the R&D center and pilot base. His team successfully developed products including TEOS, hydrogen bromide, carbonyl sulfide, hexafluorobutadiene, methyl fluoride and octafluorocyclobutane. Among them, the 1,000 t/a TEOS project under his leadership set the record for China's largest single-line production capacity at that time, with product quality reaching world-class standards.
As Deputy General Manager of Nanda Optoelectronic (Ulanqab) Co., Ltd., Mr. Wang took charge of technical management and capacity expansion of the NF₃ project, delivering a total capacity of 5,400 tons per year. In addition, he introduced multiple core semiconductor material processes, presided over technical design and test unit verification of relevant projects, and all related products successfully met technical specifications.
Mr. Wang Xinxi is a core leading talent recruited under TIANS “T50 Program — 50 Top Process Experts Initiative”. On his joining, he commented: “TIANS Group is an engineering design group empowering the industrialization of new technologies, boasting top comprehensive capabilities in high-tech sectors such as fine chemicals and synthetic biology. China's electronic materials industry is now at a critical stage of sprinting toward advanced nodes and full autonomy and controllability. I fully endorse TIANS' philosophy of ‘Full Process-oriented' — technologies must run through the entire lifecycle of engineering. Moving forward, I will deeply integrate my decades of process experience in electronic materials with TIANS' outstanding engineering delivery capability. I will lead the team to forge ahead in the design, R&D and industrialization of cutting-edge high-purity materials, deliver projects meeting the high standard of ‘successful first-time commissioning', and help more electronic chemical enterprises achieve leapfrog development.”
