From September 15 to 19, an 18-member delegation of TIANS Group's "Four Elites" kicked off a five-day corporate study tour in Singapore. The delegation visited Biopolis, Amazon, the National University of Singapore, Standard Chartered Bank and TikTok. They conducted in-depth learning focusing on technological innovation, organizational management and global operation. Through cross-border exchanges and discussions, they broadened their global vision and updated management thinking, bringing new ideas to the Group's business practices in relevant sectors.
Biopolis is Singapore's national life science research cluster, home to international research institutions, multinational pharmaceutical companies and innovative enterprises. As the first stop, the "Four Elites" delegation inspected shared lab facilities co-developed by LLSI under Hillhouse Capital and ATLATL. They learned about its incubation model: high-standard pre-construction, asset-light operation and one-stop launch services. Its practices in hosting innovative projects, building R&D spaces and delivering industrial services offered new perspectives for the Group to develop biomedical industrial carriers and innovative project service models.

02 Seeking Truth with Reverse Thinking: Visit to Amazon
During the visit to AWS, Amazon's global cloud service arm, the delegation discussed Southeast Asia's digital economy opportunities and AI applications in engineering scenarios such as drawing retrieval and BIM modeling. These topics align well with the Group's digital transformation and internationalization strategy.
Besides, the delegation focused on learning its "Working Backwards" methodology. The method starts with customers' real needs. It defines requirements, runs stress tests and carries out prototype verification for pre-screening. Low-cost iteration eliminates ineffective solutions to ensure every step delivers customer value. This inspired the team to place value assessment earlier in workflows, starting from real client demands, to verify solutions and optimize decisions more efficiently.

03 Exploring the Essence of Knowledge: Exchange at the National University of Singapore
At the National University of Singapore, Singapore's leading public research university, the delegation toured the campus and learned about its history and development. In a special session, a senior expert from A*STAR shared insights on semiconductor and new material industry trends. The sharing covered technology evolution, industrial ecosystem and Singapore's efficient industry-research translation system with rich details and broad vision. It closely matches the Group's business in new materials. Delegates actively exchanged views on industry trends, technological innovation and achievement conversion, expanding their understanding by combining cutting-edge technologies with industrial practice.

04 Integrating into the Global Market: Visit to Standard Chartered Bank
At Standard Chartered Bank, the delegation studied the operation logic of this global bank focused on emerging markets. They discussed fund management and business layout for Chinese enterprises going global. From a financial perspective, they gained deeper understanding of resource allocation and operation management in corporate international expansion, offering new ideas for the Group's continuous overseas business expansion.
05 Innovating for the Future: Visit to TikTok
TikTok, ByteDance's global short video platform, demonstrated strong organizational vitality at its Singapore headquarters. The delegation learned about its Southeast Asian e-commerce ecosystem and local operation strategies. They mainly studied its efficient internal management mechanisms: business-driven recruitment, transparent performance appraisal, full-process online collaboration, and a closed-loop culture that requires every meeting to reach conclusions. It provided practical references for the Group to improve organizational efficiency and digital management in terms of business, talent and team collaboration.

06 Diverse Integration: Experiencing Singapore's Culture
During the trip, the delegation also visited the URA City Gallery and distinctive cultural districts. They experienced the social ecosystem of multicultural coexistence, urban spatial planning and refined governance. Beyond industries and enterprises, these field visits helped the delegation understand the underlying logic of Singapore's urban development and added multi-dimensional insights to this study tour.
This Singapore study tour covered cutting-edge industries including biomedicine, semiconductors and new materials, organizational innovation of internet firms, cross-border finance and global operation. Learnings from multiple dimensions connect with the Group's industrial development and "Embrace Global Expansion" strategy. Though the five-day trip was short, insights gained will turn into concrete actions at work. Knowledge will be applied back to business and organization. Every overseas trip fuels continuous progress for TIANS.
TIANS' "Four Elites" overseas study program was launched in 2016. It creates opportunities for "Four Elites" awardees to expand thinking and access global frontiers. Over the past decade, the program adopts various forms: one-on-one in-depth exchanges with world-famous enterprises, seminars with experts and scholars, and visits to international universities. It enables outstanding employees to step out of familiar work environments, observe industry changes, understand global trends and refresh management thinking from a broader global perspective.
